FIVE basic PRAYERS

 

JESUS commands us:

Matthew 6:6

King James Version

6 But thou, 

when thou prayest, 

enter into thy closet, 

and when thou hast shut thy door, 

pray to thy Father which is in secret; 

and thy Father which seeth in secret 

shall reward thee openly.

What do you pray for each day?

Do you pray at all?

What do you ask GOD?

Do you believe in GOD at all?

How should one pray?

Is there such a thing?

JESUS taught us this prayer:

Matthew 6:9-13

King James Version

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: 

Our Father which art in heaven, 

Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, 

Thy will be done in earth, 

as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, 

as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, 

but deliver us from evil: 

For thine is the kingdom, 

and the power, 

and the glory, 

for ever. 

Amen.

Apostle John taught us something about prayer:

1 John 5:14

King James Version

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, 

that, if we ask any thing according to his will, 

he heareth us:

The common theme on praying?

To know, and conform, to GOD's will.

That's what I remind myself always.

Everything has to conform to GOD's will.

Only GOD sees all, knows all.

As born again, I pray FOUR more prayers each day:

-- Thanking GOD for everything.

-- That everyone turn to the LORD.

-- That everyone in the world be free of war, oppression, and hunger.

-- That I be guided by SPIRIT every moment.

I do not pray for riches.

I already have JESUS.

I do not pray to be famous.

JESUS is all that matters.

I do not pray complex prayers.

I have a simple, childlike heart.

I do not pray, wanting to be seen.

I pray in secret.

For anything you need, go to JESUS.

As MEDIATOR, JESUS is the Way to reach GOD.

He always reminds us to give ALL GLORY to GOD.

John 17:3-4

King James Version

3 And this is life eternal, 

that they might know thee the only true God, 

and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

4 I have glorified thee on the earth: 

I have finished the work 

which thou gavest me to do.

CONQUERING ignorance

 

Psalm 73:22

King James Version

22 So foolish was I, 

and ignorant: 

I was as a beast before thee.

That's how I was.

Before GOD made me born again.

Sinful.

Ignorant.

Foolish.

Now that I've been born again three years?

I could not thank GOD enough, for saving me.

He must have really loved me, to do that.

He took away everything worldly, that I may have everything spiritually.

The world will offer you worldly things.

GOD will offer you godly things.

John 3:6

King James Version

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; 

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

He will give you discernment.

1 Corinthians 2:14

King James Version

14 But the natural man receiveth not 

the things of the Spirit of God: 

for they are foolishness unto him: 

neither can he know them, 

because they are spiritually discerned.

He will make you a new person.

2 Corinthians 5:17

King James Version

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, 

he is a new creature: 

old things are passed away; 

behold, 

all things are become new.

Being born again wakes you up, to the GLORY of GOD.

We become humbled, knowing the might, power, and glory of GOD.

Once you're born again, you will be taught by the HOLY SPIRIT.

He will lead you to the Bible.

You will begin to see GOD's love, patience, longsuffering, and mercy.

You will look at self, and be shamefaced.

You will thirst for His WORD.

Every day will become an exciting day.

You can't wait to learn more about JESUS.

You'd want to know how to get things right with GOD.

You'd want to be perfect in His eyes.

Every day is a chance to do so.

Never again will you be confused.

Scripture will tell you everything.

Never again will you be lost, for you have GOD's WORD and SPIRIT to guide you.

JESUS will guide you back to GOD.

The true believer welcomes correction from GOD.

Hebrews 12:6-7

King James Version

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, 

and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, 

God dealeth with you as with sons; 

for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

He welcomes knowledge of GOD.

Colossians 1:10

King James Version

10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord 

unto all pleasing, 

being fruitful in every good work, 

and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Being born again ends all foolishness, and ignorance.

There's only a moving forward with JESUS.

GIVING THANKS to the LORD

 

1 Thessalonians 5:18

King James Version

18 In every thing give thanks: 

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus 

concerning you.

It's time to be grateful.

To give GOD the GLORY.

To be grateful, for everything.

To love the LORD, as He wishes to be loved.

To thank God, for each other.

To thank each other, for being in our lives.

To acknowledge that only GOD, sees perfectly.

To be grateful, for the life given.

To be grateful for our work, no matter how humble.

To be grateful, for the food we eat.

To be grateful, for the simple joys of life.

To be grateful, for the LORD's sacrifice on the CROSS.

To be grateful, for being loved, no matter how sinful we are.

To be grateful for the purifying WORD of GOD.

To be grateful for the comfort the HOLY SPIRIT gives.

To be grateful that SPIRIT teaches us each moment.

To be grateful that JESUS defeated death, and the devil.

To be grateful for the many opportunities, to love.

To be grateful for another day, to love.

To be grateful for another morning, to wake up to.

To be grateful for another day, to do better.

To be forgiven, no matter we test God's mercy.

To be grateful, for the TRUTH of GOD.

To be grateful, for the GRACE given.

To be grateful to all, who work so hard each day.

To be grateful, for our families.

To be grateful to our parents, for the sacrifices made.

To be grateful to our siblings, for their love, and patience.

To be grateful to our long-suffering friends.

To be grateful for enemies, who keep us closer to God.

To be grateful for grief, making our hearts tender.

To be grateful for pain, making us turn to the LORD.

To be grateful for failures, keeping us humble.

To be grateful for success, knowing God is in charge.

To be grateful for challenges, testing our FAITH.

To be grateful for difficulties, testing our LOVE.

To be grateful for momentary confusion, testing our PATIENCE.

To be grateful to GOD, for giving us people to love.

To be grateful to JESUS, for teaching us how to LOVE.

To be grateful to JESUS, for the forthcoming RAPTURE.

To be grateful to JESUS, without whom, we'd be nothing.

John 15:5

King James Version

5 I am the vine, 

ye are the branches: 

He that abideth in me, 

and I in him, 

the same bringeth forth much fruit: 

for without me ye can do nothing.

It's time to GIVE THANKS to the LORD, and receive the strength we need, for each day's challenge.

Colossians 1:11-12

King James Version

11 Strengthened with all might, 

according to his glorious power, 

unto all patience and longsuffering 

with joyfulness;

12 Giving thanks unto the Father, 

which hath made us meet 

to be partakers of the inheritance 

of the saints in light:

GOD's LOVE, is never ending.

We are so BLESSED!

1 John 3:1-3

that we should be called the sons of God:

WELCOME to SUNLIGHT yellow.

This blog is a blog on HOPE.

JESUS is our HOPE.

He's the only REAL THING THERE IS.

Colossians 2:2-10

2 That their hearts might be comforted, 

being knit together in love, 

and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, 

to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, 

and of the Father, 

and of Christ;

3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom 

and knowledge.

lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

5 For though I be absent in the flesh, 

yet am I with you in the spirit, 

joying and beholding your order, 

and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

and stablished in the faith, 

as ye have been taught, 

abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Why did I call this blog SUNLIGHT yellow?

The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD in my heart did.

He knew my family and I had been grieving the past 33 days.

He knew I searched the Bible for 30 days straight, looking for a verse that satisfies my soul, about my baby sis.

When I found, it, peace and healing began.

It will be for a long time, but at least, by praying to JESUS each day, He gives me the strength to keep going.

For there's much to do, for I've come to know His WORD -- as born again -- the past 26 months.

And now that the world doesn't make sense at all, we take heart, and know GOD has always been in charge.

His SON will help us get through life's challenges.

Whether it be emotional, financial, spiritual, or mental challenges.

JESUS invites us to sup with Him.

So He may live in our families.

And love, joy, and peace will reign once more.
